Pending Pips offers free forex calculators. This page explains what happens to your information when you use the site.

What you type stays in your browser

All of the calculations run on your own device. The numbers you enter, such as balances, prices and lot sizes, are not sent to us and are not stored on a server. We have no accounts and no sign-up.

What we store on your device

To make the site more convenient, your browser keeps a few small settings in its local storage. They never leave your device, and we cannot see them. They are: your choice of light or dark mode; the numbers you last used in the quick calculator on the home page, so it is ready when you come back; and, if you press Hide on a TradingView widget, that choice, so the widgets stay hidden on your next visit; and, your answer to the cookie question; and, if you use the Save this plan button in the trade planner, the plans you save (their numbers and the name you give them), so you can load or compare them later; and, if you enroll in the Forex Basics course, which lessons you have finished and your quiz scores, so the course can show your progress. You can clear these at any time in your browser settings. We do not set advertising cookies. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies of its own (see the next sections).

TradingView widgets

Some pages show live prices from TradingView, a third party. The widget loads when you scroll to it, and your browser then connects to TradingView, so TradingView receives your IP address and technical information such as your browser type, and may set its own cookies. How TradingView handles that information is described in its privacy policy. The widgets stay off, in every country, until you press Accept on the cookie banner. You can choose each one separately with Customize on the banner, and change your mind at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. If you prefer not to share this, press Hide on the widget: nothing is loaded from TradingView while it is hidden, and we remember your choice on your device. The calculators work fully without the widgets.

Share buttons

The share buttons are ordinary links. Nothing is loaded from WhatsApp, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Telegram, Reddit or any other network until you click one, and then that network's own page opens and its own privacy policy applies. The "Share…" button opens your device's share menu, and "Copy link" only copies the address to your clipboard.

Exchange rates

The calculators pre-fill exchange rates taken from the European Central Bank's euro reference rates (source: ECB statistics). They are collected when the site is built, not by your browser, so loading a calculator does not send a request to the ECB or to any rate provider. The rates are daily figures published for information only.

Hosting and server logs

The site is delivered by a hosting provider, which, like most hosts, may keep standard server logs that include your IP address and the pages requested. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure.

Fonts

The fonts are served from this site. Your browser does not contact Google or another font provider to load them.

Visit statistics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read and how people find them, so we can improve the site. When it is on, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address and technical details (such as your browser, device and the pages you view) and sets cookies (names starting with _ga). We see only totals and trends, not who you are, and we do not sell your data or combine it with any account, because there are none. Google keeps the detailed data tied to a visit for 2 months (a setting in our Google Analytics account) and after that only combined statistics remain. Google Analytics stays off, in every country, until you press Accept on the cookie banner, and you can turn it off at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. It is never used on the admin screens. How Google handles this information is described in Google's privacy policy.

Advertising

The site does not show advertising today. If that changes, this page will be updated first, and where the law requires your consent, we will ask for it before anything is loaded.
